Anyone know how long it takes to fit an alternator to a 1972 VW Beetle? Assuming nothing is broken and it's a simple swap job.

Pretty quick - remove fan belt, undo cables, undo bolts, remove alternator, put new alternator in place, replace bolts, replace cables, replace fan belt. I'd give it a couple of hours if you're new to it, less if you're proficient.
