Fluoxetine / Venlafaxine

I was recently on 150mg venlafaxine and am now on 20mg fluoxetine. These are different mgs and yet doctor says its the equivalent dosage. How can this be right?

because they are different drugs that do the same thing. Paracetamol, codiene and morphine are all pain killers, but you would tak 4 grams of paracetamol a day. if you took 4 grams of morphine or codiene, you would probably die!
