Slow downloads
1 Answers
I have an iBook G4 that I purchased about 4 years ago. It used to run quite fast and I was impressed with the downloading speeds.
I have upgraded it over the years to Tiger and then to Leopard. Now however it is very slow to download anything and I wondered if there is anything I can do to boost the download times.
It has 512 MB memory and 1.33 GHz processor. I know that it is quite an old computer now but it still works well, all I want to know is if there is any way of making it work a bit faster!
Thanks!

This doesn't really have anything to do with your computer. It's all down to your internet line.
Speeds can suffer for several reaons: first, it depends how fast the place you're downloading from can supply you data. Secondly, it can be affected by more people in your local area. If you use wireless, it can be affected by interference.
