Hayfever!!

What side affects can one have from from taking steroids for hayfever? As i have 6 weddings this year and can't face the outdoors at the moment!

What steroids?

I'm suffering too at the moment - I've taken Piriteze one a day.  It is an antihistamine tablet.  The leaflet doesn't mention steroids.  It lists the possible side effects as:

• Headache
• Dizziness
• Agitation
• Dry mouth
• Drowsiness
• Stomach or intesitnal discomfort.

"These are all temporary, mild side effects of this medicine".

Remember they have to put them all down - even if only one person experienced it at clinical trial!.  Remember also - one side effect of paracetamol is headaches!

I use Flixonase which is a steroid spray and the side effects I got were funny feelings in my nose sometimes and an altered sense of smell.  I'm sure the leaflets list the full range of possible effects though.  I know any side effects I get are worth it really as my hayfever is so chronic I couldn't manage without it.
