annual pay rise
4 Answers
In October 2008 the Police were awarded a 3 year pay deal of 2008 2.65%, 2009 2.6%, 2010 2.55%.
At the time I did not think this was a good deal.
In view of the current financial situation, and with regard to pay rises for other workers, is this now a good deal, or still pretty poor ?

Just fortunate to still have a job at this moment in time and without a pay cut, any jobs now advertised for my work sector are slashing their annual salaries because they know people are desperate to work for very little. So it's not ideal but better than a lot of people's situation.
I'd say under the current climate of redundancies, pay cuts and increased living costs, any pay rise is a good one. And yes, the Police deserve more money.
