Hello everybody peeps
16 Answers
I have just got in from my jaunt to southampton on a 2 day course and I am glad to tell you that I passed the second test today with flying coulers again.
So I am now qualified to work on the national grid and will be starting a new job on monday working in a power station near me but they don't know that on the job that I am on at the moment as I am self employed so I can hand in a days notice.
Well I have learnt as few things over the past few days such as how dangerous 400,000 volts can be and it is not the volts but it is the amps that kill you of course but 400,000 naked volts can jump to you and ground you at less than 3.1 metres and fry you, as we are made of mostly water and of course eletwisity always takes the easiest path to earth and that is through you.
Now I am a person That can work in a sub station and I can tell you some of the things that are inside a sub station looks like something from science fiction and I am not talking about the transformers that you see sometimes but the what is inside the the buildings the size of 2 football pitches.
Well knobby has the power now to turn you on or of lol.
Anyway bye now as I will be zapped tomorrow by the Hawkes gang
Lol
Well in all my experiance of being a sparky over 30 years I must admit you never stop learning and this was certainly a eye opener for me
