Does anyone know what the neural correllates of pleasure are. Is there one system that gets activated by various activities, or do different activities involve different brain areas.

Endorphins are the hormones in the brain released to reward successful behaviour with pleasure. Drugs bypass this mechanism allowing losers to feel good while their life is falling to pieces around them.
