Raspberries
3 Answers
We have autumn fruiting raspberries in our garden. They are normally ripening from August onwards till about end of September.
This year they are already ripening in June and the plants are only 3/4 of the height they normally grow to. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I suppose we haven't had so much rain to make the canes grow taller, but lots of hot sunny days to ripen the fruit early. This is the first summer the fruit has been ready this early and we've had raspberries several years. Thankfully at this time of year there aren't so many spiders to get in the way of my picking!!
