Hi, What is the name of the Kate Bush song that has the lyrics: 'like the sun coming out, I just know that something good is going to happen, everytime it rains...' and it has really cool violin music on the track or something similar. Thanks!

The song is called 'Cloudbusting' and it's on the 'Hounds Of Love' album. The video, which includes Donald Sutherland, tells the story of the song, and it's fantastic. I do believe that on the strength of this album alone, Kate Bush is one of the few musicians to whom the word 'genius' can legitimately be applied.

Cloudbusting was about a chap called William Reich who created a device called a Cloudbuster. It worked by focussing a proposed (and entirely unproven, it should be added) energy force which surrounds the Earth called Orgone. By doing this, you can make it rain. Reich saw all sorts of possibilities for his device including combatting desertification, but the Federal Bureau of Firearms and Tobacco (I believe - it's been a long time since I read about it) closed him down without giving much reason and left Reich a broken man. His son Peter penned the book upon which the song is based.
