Dores Anyone Know What This Means...
Technology1 min ago
As I've said before I'm doing some research for a uni course and would like to know whether people use gyms/fitness suites and what type of equipment they use if they do.
If you could let me know your sex/age group and region of the UK you live in it would be appreciated. Also why you make use of the gyms - is it for health reasons or due to the images in the media.
Sorry to be so deep but I need this info for my essay. Thanks

For the record:
F, 22, Manchester. Will soon be returning to the gym after a period of only going to aerobics classes. I will use the cross-trainer, bikes, stair-master, most of the fixed weights stuff and the tiny girly dumb bell coloured free weights. Oh - and a mat for doing sit ups. I.e., - I WON'T use big free weights, rowing machine or treadmill.
I go to the gym to get exercise because I'm not allowed to run on the roads because of my knees. Also to look toned rather than skinny. I wish I weighed 8st7, but at 5'8" that wouldn't be healthy. So toning up it is instead.
No I'm not influenced by the media images of the body beautiful.
Good luck with your research!
