There are so many TV channels now dedicated to showing old TV shows - which would you like to see repeated. For me, the American show "Soap" - to my mind one of the cleverest and funniest things ever broadcast, and then that one about the Scottish airline - was it called "Flying Hign"? What do you think?

Soap season 1 has been available on DVD since April
"Upstairs Downstairs" and "Family at War"
1) Man in a Suitcase
2)The High Chapparal
3)Cannon
4)The Fugitive.
Used to love The High Chapparal but not sure if it is one of those programmes that I would like to see again, Some really show their age and I think it's just nostalgia that makes us want to see them again. Saying that I have loved seeing Hill Street Blues and St Elsewhere that Channel 4 have been showing. I used to rush home from the pub to watch Hill Street Blues.

I take the point Jan1957 - they do say you should never go back, and sometimes it's better to remember programmes with fondness rather than be faced with the reality that perhaps they weren't really that good. And marval - I'm sure i caught the tag-end of an episode of "Upstairs Downstairs" the other day when flicking around - can't remember what channel it was on though.
Rich Man Poor Man (first series)
Bouquet of Barbed Wire
Gilligan's Island
Robinson Crusoe (the dubbed one)

I must look them up on Youtube
marval - Upstairs Downstairs is showing on ITV3.

My choice is
Rich man, poor man (all series)
Family at War
The Golden Girls
Chicago Hope
Mash
I was only in my early teens when i saw soap, but i loved it. I watched a couple of clips on youtube recently and i still thought it was funny. Would love to see it repeated.

I would love to watch MASH again too...that was a great series.

Are there any of you nostalgic buffs Stateside remember THE EGG AND I, TV serial back in the late 50`s ?
Mikkanjazza, I think the second show you refer to is called "The High Life" and was absolutely hilarious - starred Alan Cumming as a camp air steward. An episode was shown on Thursday night. No idea which channel. Only one series was ever made, and it is available on DVD. I know because I bought it. "Oh dearie me!"
Continued - Just looked it up. The High Life is on BBC4 at 11pm on Thursday.
And to answer the original question, how about Tutti Frutti, which starred Robbie Coltrane? Arguably one of the funniest series ever made.
By the way Soap has been repeated recently - within the last couple of years. Also hilarious.

BenDToy - many thanks for the heads-up on The High Life. I've set my recorder! Does anyone else find that there's so much stuff on these days that it's almost impossible to keep track of it all?
Thank you Mikkanjazza and Tizzi247
