Is there anything you can use (apart from proper bought shampoos etc) to help get rid of hair dye quicker? It's a temporary sort.

Cigarette Ash!!!!

Seriously! Its disgusting but it works, just dampen a kitchen tissue n dab that into the ashtray n then rub into the skin.... then go take a shower... P U!

cover your hair in head a shoulders and leave for about 40 mins then wash out, really strips the colour out!!

Baby shampoo and washing up liquid are both worth a try and marginally less gross than cigarette ash!
Wella used to do a 'on-off' hair dye system.  The idea was that you could strip the dye off your hair if you didn't like it.  Not sure if it's still going but you might find it in places like SemiChem/Savers etc.  They tend to have older stock.  The stuff is a gel, it does smell quite horrible but if you wash your hair afterwards you shouldn't be able to smell it.  It won't strip everything out your hair, but it should significantly lessen the amount of time that it shows up for.
Vosene shampoo is really good at getting a temp hair dye out.
So is head & shoulders.  What colour is it may I ask?
apparently Fiary Liquid does the job! worth a go. Cheap too! x

Thanks for all your replys! As tempting as the ash sounded Toothfairy...not really knowing any smokers, didn't give that one a go! I've managed to de-orange my hair enough to put up with it for now! =)
Washing at least 3 times in Hair and Shoulders is supposed to be really good for getting rid of hair dye.
