I know the phrase 'how's your father' originated in music hall around the time of the First World War, and I know it is used as a sexual innuendo, but can you tell me which music hall performer first used it?

how's-yer-father was coined in a music hall sketch by Harry Lauder (1870-1950) and popularised by servicemen in the First World War.

I don't believe for one minute that Harry Lauder used the phrase 'how's your father' which was a London music hall phrase. Lauder probably couldn't even pronounce it. More likely Tommy Handley, Max Wall, Arthur Askey or some such.
