Simple Possession of Class A Drug
Hi I was recently taken to my local police station after a bust up with my missus whilst I was there the police found a tiny amount of coke in my wallet ( probably less than a 20th of a gram) the thing is it has probably been their for over two years as i have no recollection who or where I got it from. I have been charged with possesion of a class A drug what sort of outcome can i expect. 1st Offence.

The worst will probably be a fine but that will result in a conviction which stays on your record longer than a caution before it becomes spent. A caution is spent instantly and will only be disclosed on standard CRB checks until it is stepped down, which for a drugs offence is 10 years. After which it will only be disclosed on an enhanced CRB check. Convictions will be on Standard CRB checks for life.
