I have 2 guinea pigs. One loves to bite the metal cage bars on their run. He never bites the hutch bars, but when out in the garden I quite often hear him biting the bars on the run. Does this matter?

Mine does this all the time, i think its just their way of filing their teeth down. Either that or for attention! :)
Put more iron in his diet.

Is that a joke?!
Could just be boredom, give them small branches from an apple tree to gnaw on, i'm pretty sure there not poisonous but id check with google first <3
I had a hamster who did the same, we gave him things to play with and chew and still he loved the cage bars, didn't seem to do him any harm though!
