Can you replace upvc outer doors with wooden ones?

Presumably the frame would have to be replaced too?

I wouldn't put a wooden door in the uPVC frame as the expansion and contraction properties of both materials are different and would affect the security and environment of your home.

If you want a wooden door, you will need a wooden door frame and vise versa.

Can't see why you couldn't use the plastic frame if you can arrange the hinge fixings to be compatible.  Worries about expansion rates etc should be viewed in the light of the brickwork holding the outer frame, which surely isn't going to move at all.  Personally, I like wood as it is so much easier to modify/repair, but a solid piece of plastic should be a perfectly acceptable structure to attach to.  Good luck!
