Which category of drivers cause more accidents, under 25's or over 70's?

Granted the oldies do dodder around and get in the way but usually there's time to get out of the way. They are by far the most common puller out in front of Bikes though. I think some of them thinkl that a bike must always give way regardless!
I've never really understood the principle that old drivers are safer. If the news have a story about somebody driving the wrong way up the motorway or driving into a shop window or off a pier 9 times out of 10 it'll be an elderly driver who got confused. I've also lost count of the number of times they've pulled out of junctions or onto roundabouts at me and carried on with a look of obliviousness on their face.
With total respect to the Senior drivers & bye the way I am getting there my self ( 60) If not held a HGV, AD Certs they should be tested as they have never taken a test, I do understand that their car is their lifeline to the outside world but the outside world should be a safe ROAD ONE. I am expecting criticism over my comments but how many of us have seen the standard of driving by the OAPs, Yes the young are bad but their reactions are quick, 2 OAPs going down the M5 the wrong way!! need I say anymore, OK i am waiting for it. but what I have seen in my HGV experience would open your eyes.
I did some interesting stats on this some time ago.
In terms of the most accidents had per mile driven the largest risk group is over 70 women followed by young men followed by young women followed by over 70 men.
However that is per mile driven. Remembering that young people often drive much more than the older group the numbers swap around in terms of absolute risk (not per mile driven)
Additionally remember that "over 70" is an unbounded group and because there are more older women than men that may at least partially account for the fact that there are more older women than older men having accidents.
