Anybody coming to the Lowestoft Air Festival this year? (july 23rd-24th) Two days with 5 hours flying on each day, The stars of the show are the Red Arrows, Eurofighter and the Avro "Vulcan, the only one in the world left flying, and many more fast military jets plus many more types of aircraft..All this is happening on both days. and on the second day it finishes off with Power-boat racing off the beach and a gigantic firework display..250,000 people are expected to attend..A fantastic day out....
They were at Biggin Hill recently. The Eurofighter in particular was very very noisy and impressive, and gets you thinking how useful it is for bombing foreigners.
I watched the Biggin Hill air festival from a hill just south, and there was a group of foreigners on there, mostly French I fear, but we didn't care because they clearly were incapable of speaking properly. When the Eurofighter circled overhead we talked it down and it made a bit of a mess of them with missiles!! Ho ho ho. More compost for next year.
My younger sister was the Chief Buyer for the instrument panels during the Eurofighter's development stage.
My ex-husband used to be an airframe fitter on 2 squadron at RAF St Athan where the Vulcans were serviced.
My brother-in-law has had a hairdressers in lowestoft since 1966, but i am not going to that show, I may go to Southport airshow tho
