Well it's my baby's 9th birthday today (63 in doggy years) , He's a Great Dane x Neopolitian Mastiff! He'll have his bowl of meat with 9 candles (hot dogs because he loves them) and then he'll be chewing open his presents lol! Only when my son gets home from school"
It just made me think how lucky I am that he's still here and how much of a pain in my backside he was when we first brought him home from Macclefield (he was the second to last there), where he had the runs and was sick on me in the back of the car lol!
From then on it was money all the way pmsl! 2 chewed cookers, 2 chewed fridges, 3 chewed washing machines, 1 chewed freezer a ton of chewed kitchen sides lol!
He has cost us a fortune , and i love him so much I was just wondering how much your oets have cost you?

On the journey home, he soiled the car (probably from fright). He chewed up a car seat which had to be sent to Madrid to be recovered in the original leather. He then chewed up a panel with a speaker from the back of the car, and we had to wait 2 months for a replacement to come from South Korea. Then a fold-down armrest which had to be replaced with one from Germany. Other things he chewed were a sofa, a pair of Prada shoes, a pair of Gucci Sunglasses, several nice dresses that had just come back from the cleaners, numerous papers and magazines that we hadn't got round to reading.... and that's just the tip of the iceberg !!
However, he is now a much calmer dog, and so sweet-natured and well-behaved, you wouldn't think it's the same mutt. I couldn't be without him now.

Too look at him now you would never have thought he was capable of doing there things he is as gentle as a lamb. Now I have a Hannes macaw that destroys all his toys. Animals worse that kids at times lol.

Hi Wendilla. I nearly forgot about Alfie's brush with death. When I was living here full-time, I popped back to the UK for about 5 days, and brought a large box of Thorntons Chocs back for the ex (then partner). We left them in the motor with Alfie for five minutes, got back to find he'd ripped open the box and eaten every single one and even licked all the crumbs out..... prompting an emergency dash to the nearest vets...
