can anyone tell me how to retrieve lost emails. Every so often my talktalk email system wipes out most of the emails in my inbox. I don't know why and I don't know how to get them back

Chances are it is wiping them out because they are too old. Does your email account have an expiry date set on emails?

Hi squarebear. These are recent emails and I have tried to see if there is an expiry date but couldn't find one. I looked under settings. Is that right

Email files are stored on your computer with the .DBX file extension. You could try doing a 'search' on your hard drive by looking for *.dbx
