my dyson dc25 ball cleaner when you shut it of the motor howls until it stops anyone know why . It works normally and only makes the noise when you shut it off

I used to have one of these ... now I just use it under my arms

sounds like either the bearings are worn, dirty or overheating

what state is the filter in?

a Dyson ball cleaner!!!

personally I just use a sponge!

Anyhow, agree that it's probably the motor bearings.
