8(a) Nothing like one musically in a Dublin street.(4) D _ _ E. Think it might be Dame as in Dame St but dont get the clue.
23(a) Another smile before documents signed for pounds.(6) G _ I _ D _. Think this might be Grinds but again dont fully get the clue.
Any help and explanation greatly appreciated.

you need a definition --- to grind is to pound --- grinds-pounds
