a packet of Walkers crisps & isnt it shocking the amount of crisps you get in a packet these days, wasn't even 1 potato lol.

I could make a sh!t load of crisps with a bag of potatoes for �1. Has any1 ever made their own crisps?

Many years ago I bought a litle plastic microwavable ring, made for making your own crisps. I don't think they caught on.

Tried it once and decided it was too fiddly.

Hi PeeBee - I think in most packets of crisps when you open them, its all air and about 5 crisps !!

In fact its the same with multi packs of snack size choc bars, they have downsized all of them.

No buddy. I'm a lazy bu88er. Took too long to slice all the spuds (mandolins weren't so well known in those days).

This thread has given me food for thought though. I might just have a go at doing my own ....

a couple of months ago i bought a six pack of cheese and onion only to find that they were prawn cocktail bags inside! i mean i dont mind them but i phoned walkers and they offered me 6 months of free crisps, to which i replied whats the point when you dont even include many crisps in one packet anyway. so they gave me a �20 voucher instead!
