Turned off and drained down the water system yesterday to change a couple of taps. Amazingly for me managed the taps but, now the water is back on, there is no hot water coming through. Any ideas ?? Cheers

Can I assume that you have an indirect system - with a cold water tank in the loftspace that feeds the hot water tank in the airing cupboard below? This would be classically the situation that can happen after you do what you have done.
The way most plumbers first try and deal with this is to link a short piece of hose between one of the cold taps that directly feeds off the mains supply and one of the non-working hot taps. You then force cold water at mains pressure back up the supply pipes to push the air out of the hot water pipes. You don't have to get a water-tight connection onto funny-shaped taps to be able to do this technique - holding the hose up with cloth wrapped around to prevent most water squirting out should work.

ive had success with builders mates method, if it doesn't work and you have a mixer tap somewhere then try this method
with the plam of your hand hold a plastic bag tightly over the end of the tap to form a water tight seal, open the hot tap then open the cold tap, let the cold water rush up the hot pipework, if its working you should hear the water rushing up the pipes or the pipes may start vibrating, do this for about 60 secs then turn off the hot tap and then the cold tap, then remove the plastic bag and open the hot tap, hopefully the water will now flow.
