There was indeed a band called True Life Confessions. They released at least two singles - '(I'm Almost) Supersonic' on A & M Records in 1981, and 'Don't Call Me Chicken Head!' on Speed Records in 1983. They don't appear to have troubled the charts overmuch, the possibility that their dubious moniker was a serious hindrance in the radio airplay stakes has to be seriously considered!
