Has anybody been, and whats near by, what to do or not to do?
Any info appreciated.

Depends how long you are in the area for, if it's just for the day then Flamingoland may suit you all day,they have a Zoo in the theme park so plenty to do and see.

If staying for longer then there are lots of places to visit,Scarborough, Whitby,York,Goathland (heartbeat),in Goathland there is a lovely waterfall but it is a trek to get to it.
