iTunes

I've downloaded itunes successfully (an achievement for me!) but when I've tried to import my library from my PC disk into itunes only about 600 of the 7000+ songs I've on my PC have transferred.
Why is this and what has prevented the rest from transferring? Can it be resolved and how?

you have 7000 songs on your computer, so what have you been using to play/manage your music before? and where is your music stored?... and final question, are they all in the same format (mp3, wma. ogg?)

you are seriously low on hard drive space, but as the music is already on you drive you should be able to import it into iTunes.
Itune's imports in two ways though, one way only scans your music and adds it to the iTunes library the other way makes a duplicate copy of every track on your hard drive which will double the size of your music and quickly run you out of drive space.
check the size of the Itunes folder in my documents/mymusic (right click on folder > properties)
how big is it
