The Dane-Elec So Smart media player
4 Answers
Hi all
Has anyone got one of these Dane-Elec So Smart media players?
(see http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.p hp?cPath=777_5&products_id=104395)
I'm thinking of getting one for my wifes ever growing collection of digital photos, but wanted some independent thoughts first
Many thanks to any So Smart owners (or anyone who has decided AGAINST the So Smart) for their feedback
Thanks
Phil G

Iomega ScreenPlay Pro HD Multimedia Drive
is sort of comparable - but not knowing your needs ... it's difficult to say what you can do without
and 1Tb is a lot of movies - let alone photos (1000000 BIG pikkies - 4000000 normal size) - or over 200 dvd size films
Dane-Elec isn't a particularly well knows brand here --- but it's not known for tat either
if it's just for photos - I doubt that there will be any problems - any problems generally revolve round video codecs
you can only be wrong ;-)

As I already had a Seagate Freeagent Go external hard drive, I bought the Seagate FreeAgent Theatre.

It is excellent but note the Go hard drive is not included. I bought the hard drive as a back up device and am very pleased with it but the Theatre gives it extra use.

Or a digital photo frame that can not only display the photos but can also connect to the tv so they can be viewed on the big screen? Here's one, but there are lots available.
