Sorry I've been so long coming back.
The article was about Lloyds TSB while they offer a mortgage with a 5% deposit there appears to be a catch. A parent is to guarantee with a savings account. It may be worth checking out anyway. Another option for you to look at is www.fool.co.uk/mortgages who will ask a series of questions and then put forward suggestions/ lenders.

Its been a while since your original question and I hope you have been successful in finding a mortgage.
I was reading the Express (again) and thought of you. Today they are promoting thier web page to check mortgages available to you. If you are still looking it may be of interest.

I'm not stalking you!!! but when I read todays Express I remembered you. I hope you have managed to find somewhere but if not try and get hold of todays (Wednesday) paper and read the article on the centre pages. Otherwise look at :-
www.homesandcommunities.co.uk/home_buy
It appears there are several way to get help with your deposit and you don't pay any interest for the first five years. It is a goverment funded deal.
It might be what you are looking for.
