name that song from the 70s

hi folks, was taking a trip down memory lane and tried to recall a tune that was on on the car radio i remember from a memorable day out in the late 70s maybe early 80s in our glorious english countryside. it had lyrics in it like..."you,ve got to get a little,get a little everyday" and "brown as a berry but you can't lie down" better let yourself cool down", it was a scorcher off a summer back then and the recent hot weather got me singing it or some of it...i was only 8 in 1979 but it has stayed in my mind all these years.....not much else does these days like birthdays or where i put the car keys but this song has.
