If you aren't asked then while ethically you should say something you would not actually be obliged.
Also after a certain amount of time your caution will be 'spent' and removed from your record you do not generally need to disclose 'spent' cautions or convictions. That is unless you are going for a job that requires enhanced disclosure - security sensitive - working with vulnerable people such as children, people in care or hospitals/nursing homes etc. or concerned in the administration of justice such as working at a prison, police station, court etc. in which case it is always there.
