In the sentence; "However, the county's industrial heritage, the demographic of the county's population and a long-held reputation for having a thriving night-time economy, can perhaps help explain the phenomena".
Is the c in county's a small c or capital C ?

Also, can someone explain commas, I think I over use them as I tend to punctuate how I speak rather than writing in correct English.

Thanks,

Mikie.

possibly something to do with Lilith, Adam's troublesome first wife: they split up after an argument about sexual positions.

...erm, sorry, Mikie, it occurs to me I'm getting a bit off-topic there.
well jno - I thought you were joking, they never taught us that at school!! fascinating, I shall read more...
carrot, I'm sure if Lilith had hired the services of Max Clifford he'd have made sure she got her name in the Bible!
I should say- equal billing with Eve at least!
One of the better off-topics! I would defend Genesis to the death. You try explaining cosmology, the formation of the solar system and evolution to an overwhelmingly uneducated population before chemistry, physics or biology.

On the other hand if you want a humorous examination of the current debate between science and fundamentalist religion try listening to Chris Smither's song, "Intelligent Design". It closes with God explaining that evolution means " I lay back in the shade while everyone gets laid. That's what I call intelligent design"!
