He also fought tooth and nail with Robert Hooke who was the first president of the Royal society - later when Newton Became president after Hooke's death Hookes notebooks and portrait mysteriously vanished.
I think there was some trouble with Leibnitz over who invented Calculus.
He famously stuck a needle in his eye to see what would happen.
Generally not the sort of person you'd want to spend too much social time with - not that Newton ever spent much social time with anybody.
But he did have a tough childhood, his father died before he was born and his mother sent him off to live with his Grandmother - he was a weak child and not expected to live long (but he did until he was 84 which was pretty ancient then)
well well i can't so bad myself then it seems that all brainy people r a bit nuts then i am releived must say i find i have a few things in comon with issac (and that few does not include the gay mind u) hehe.
