Tempest (in which 'Ariel' appears) I think that you actually meant 'aerial' ;-)
Seend (where the campsite is located) is surrounded by a ring of local (low-powered) repeater transmitters. See the map here:

Each map pin represents a transmitter. You might have to experiment with the alignment of your aerial, to see which provides the best signal. (If there's a clubhouse, with a TV aerial on it, you might get some guidance by simply looking upwards)
Entering the campsite's postcode into the Freeview reception checker shows that all Freeview channels should be obtainable in that area.
If you need a signal booster (and, of course, assuming that you've got a mains hook-up) this one offers quite a high gain figure, for a reasonable price:
