Is our Police Service going mad?

We have recently heard talk of a Pagan Police Association being formed.

For years we have had a Black police Association.

And yes we also have a Metropolitan Police Sikh Association.

Now it seems we may get a Metropolitan Police Muslim Association.

It will put an entirely different approach to when one dials 999 and they ask which service do you require.

But I know one thing, being White I will not be able to ask for a White Christian Police Officer, just because I don't believe I would ever be fully conversant with a Sikh Officer.

But Palbinder Singh, chairman of the Metropolitan Police Sikh Association, said: "I don't believe a white officer is ever going to be fully conversant with a Sikh."

These are Member Associations. The y are not official brigades of officers

They clubs or societies. There are also many Police Masonic Lodges - exactly the same thing, they too are membership organisations.

It has no bearing on what kind of Police Officer you get when you dial 999. They are not official brigades of officers, like say the Ghurkhas are in the army.

the company I worked for fielded a cricket team. The Met may do the same, for all I know. The pagan police association will be on the same footing: a collection of druid plods, not a separate police force. You won't be able to get them by dialling 999.

AOG, it wasn't meant as an insult - simply an observation. Your link makes no mention of separate police services, merely the possibility of using the most appropriate person for the job, so your question is ill-considered. You've got the wrong end of the stick completely.
