Driving Licence
My husband of 75 has had his licence revoked. He had to fill in a form about his health, he mentioned he had had laser treatment on one eye and the DVLA wouldn't issue him a licence. His sight is fine in fact he went to an optomatrist for a driving sight test and he passed with a 95% total. The optomatrist wrote a letter to the DVLA to cofirm this. He has made an appeal against the DVLA. Has anyone else been deprived of their licence for no apparent reason? how does one stand about reversing the decision? We live in quite a remote area and desperately need the car as I am disabled, the bus only goes into town twice a week, I can't get to the docs or the hospital for my appt's. Any help or advice greatly appreciated. J

Don't worry Eddie we are v/aware of consequenses, its all a pain and very inconveniant & possibly I was being a bit flippent but we know how risky it could be. Looking at it from the other side too and being in an accident with a 75 yr old man with no licence, no insurancewould be horrific for all.
No no responce from the DVLA yet, we're told it could be 6 weeks.
I'll keep you posted. J
