If you have some letters it helps if you "share them". Not everyone will have done this crossword, and the checking letters do help a lot. Otherwise you can end up with educated guesses, until someone who might have done the crossword drops in.

cloggie - at 16.24 you stated 'it doesn't fit with anything else' - ie you must have had more information than you gave in your original post. All others are asking is that you give as much information as you can.

In reply to Catron, I had nothing else at the time of posting the question! When I tried to fit the letters of "canopy" into the crossword, nothing seemed to fit. Please do not jump to conclusions!
