osd LAG warning

Hi,

I have turned on my laptop (Advent) today and I have now got a warning in the middle of my screen that will not go away! It is a small box that says LAG and I think is related to osd.
Does anyone know how to fix or get rid of it (yes i have clicked ok and the "x" but it just comes back)
I have vista OS and am guessing it is related to this as i never had it when i had XP.

what exactly is the message? what is it saying?

I've never seen an error that says

That was much better until i posted it! Basically, there is a long rectangular box with osd in the header and the X button, a yellow warning triangle with LAG written next to it and an OK button, thats it?????

It seemed familiar
I racked my brain cell and it suddenly hit me
osd ... on screen display
it's the front end for your screen adjustments ... not the operating system
(unless your graphics driver has a fancy control panel)

so ... what make is your screen?

I have just turned my laptop on which is also an advent one and have just had that same thing...do u have any idea what it is?

Yep I have the same problem on my wife's laptop.

No real ideas as to what it is but it jst went away after a while and haven't seen it in months now!
