Flight Tickets Have Incorrect Spelling of Middle Name

Just a quickie

They want to charge me �100 for making an amendment on 2 middle names. One should read Ann ( says Anne on ticket ) and the other states Asley ( should be Ashley )

I am going to America and am worried whether they will look at this at Immigration. The airline ( Delta ) states they can see they are obvious mistakes and I am ok to travel but can make no comment about Immigration - what do you suggest?

Immigration really has nothing to do with it. They will examine your passport , satisfy themselves that it's you and that's it.

The big question is will you get on the plane - once you are on your problems are over. It sounds like you've been given the all clear on that.

On My Air tickets they only printed my first name and surname. They only printed the first letter of the middle name. I.e. Peter Richard Gandey would be

people know me by my shortened first name but my full name is on my passport. people have bought tickets on my behalf with my shorrter name and i have been challenged at airports but never refused travel/immigration.

dzug comments are what I was thinking - would immigration in the US ask o see your flight tickets?

US immigration have never asked to see my onward ticket, or any document other than my passport. If the airline is fine with it, there should be no problem

I think you will find that there is a certain leeway regarding names on tickets (i.e. allowed so many letters(3) to be incorrect) I have travelled three times now with both my and my wives christian name being spelt incorrectly (somebody overseas books the flights and has got the names wrong) the airlines are not happy with sending out new tickets but will make a note on their records(free of charge) if you ring them and get the right helpful personPersonally I would not be too worried about these small diferences in the names.
Immigration do not bother about tickets only passports.

I would not worry about this because it is so easily explained and even obvious (as Delta have confirmed). This is so trivial and it is even likely that most readers would not notice it. Certainly if you pay �100 you might feel reassured, but in my view that is totally unnecessary.
