Thought I'd finished it but just noticed two not done. 12d)h?d high number divided by 14 disguised.14d)o?e a round number higher than 5. I can see why 12d) could be hid. 14d) must be one? but can't work out why.

I've also got 12d as HID and 14d as ONE but like you can't work out why.

D= 500 = high number
put "one" in between = hid = disguised

That's ok mctavish. Can see how to get "hid",ulysses100, but how did you get one for 14d from the clue "a round number higher than 5"? I'm not very bright today!

14D a=ONE (round=O, number=N, higher than ie above 5(fifth letter of the alphabet =E))
