Hi Daniela, yes I remember 'Whistle while you work' but for some reason I connected B.D.N to that film. Then I thought, could it be Tom Thumb? Never heard of this other film! x

It was a conneticut yankee in king arthur's court, but it wasn't a cartoon. It was Danny Kaye I think.

Didn't Danny Kaye also do 'Tom Thumb'? I love that film, seen it a couple of times but my memory is bad!

The answer is no.It was from "A Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur's Court" and the stars were Bing Crosby,William Bendix and Sir Cedric Hardwicke, love interest was Rhonda Fleming (based i believe on the stage musical by Rodgers and Hart). The Danny Kaye film was most likely "The Court Jester" and starred him with Angela Lansbury and Glynis Johns. Tom Thumb was a different film , telling the well known fairy story and starred Russ Tamblyn, Terry-Thomas, Peter Sellers, also Alan Young and June Thorburn. You can confirm this on "The Internet Movie Database". Hope that clarifys !.

I'm pretty sure A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court was a book written by Mark Twain. Film is great, one of my favourites when I was a kid!
Also think Black Knight was loosely based on this.
