Baby sleeping
Hi all
Baby Woody will be 2 weeks old on Monday and so far he is a wonder baby! The thing is, he seems to be sleeping a lot (over 20 hours a day). He was a big baby - 10lb 110z and is taking between 4 and 5oz at each feed which is about every 4-5 hours. He's putting on weight, nearly back upto birth weigh (was 10lb 10oz on Friday) and the MW isn't worried. I've had a very bad infection in c section wound and have been quite poorly and she says the babies seem to know and be easier to deal with. He's only up once a night and I know I should be counting my blessings, but I just don't remember baby Picky 1 being this chilled out. Has anyone else found this with second babies/bigger babies?
Thanks

You are very lucky, don't worry he sounds fine to me. I only hope my 2nd that is due end Dec ish is so good! I can only take off 2 weeks after the birth then it will be back to working full time as a childminder. If my baby is up all night I will be falling asleep through the night!

its often true that a calm parent has a calm child and its understandable that you may be calmer with your 2nd and not so panicky.
But also a heavier baby is often easier to settle and sleeps through that bit earlier. Both of mine were 9lbs6.5ozs and they were good sleepers at first
once his first growth spurt starts (at about 6 weeks) you may notice a difference in his feeds again.
