I recently put a second harddrive in my computer and loaded XP onto it, but when the screen resolution is 800 x 600 everything is too big - web pages don't fit properly, the msn messenger options box is too big for the screen - but when i put the resolution at 1024 x 768, everything goes tiny. How can I get it to a reasonable size? I didn't have this problem on my previous harddrive

set your screen resolution to 1024x768 then on the window where you adjust the screen resolution click on the advanced button, make sure you are on the general tab and there is a pull down thingie for setting the DPI, it should be on 96 (the default) change it to 120DPI. Click OK and restart and see how it looks.

If it's still not quite right you can set the DPI to a custom setting, have a play about with sizes until you find one you like.
Why did you install xp on your second hard drive? Does that mean you have XP on the original drive and on the new drive?
If so then that's a little bit crazy. You only need XP on one of the drives.
Your problem can't have anything to do with the hard drive anyway. Its all to do with the monitor and the graphics card.
