Washing machine conditioner not going through
9 Answers
Hi all! I'm at my Mother in Law's and she has a problem with her washing machine. When the washing machine has finished, the drawer where the fabric conditioner goes still has the conditioner in it. We have taken the drawer out, cleaned it, checked for blockages etc but it's still not going through.
Anyone got any idea?

To get round it, you have to wait until after the soap powder cycle, then add fabric softener into the powder section in the drawer during the rinse phase. Works in our washing machine, fabric softener gets to clothes effectively, though it is annoying as you can miss putting the fabric softener in.
Probably more to do with the pressure of the water that washes the stuff out of the drawer into the machine, rather than stuff physically being able to get out of the drawer. Thinking about it, my Mum uses tablets that go in the main drum, maybe this is for the same reason..?
Not sure if this helps or not!

This happened to me. You need to clean out the inside of the drawer where the powder and conditioner goes - top and bottom and sides. Give it all a good wash with very hot water out of the kettle, and use a spray bottle to get into the little jets at the top inside. Could be a bit fiddly. I sprayed some Limescale Remover inside this drawer and left for a while then washed out. with hot water. The jets - where the water comes in - are probably blocked.
