Top Gear - background music to Aston Martin item

I would like to know the name of the piece of music and the band playing it on last Sunday's (02.08.09) edition of Top Gear. It was playing in the background during Jeremy Clarkson's piece on the new Aston Martin. It's very haunting and I am sure it is based around Faure's Requiem and appeared in the film Sophie's Choice. Any idea's would be most appreciative.
