river don flood
I'm trying to find out where in the city centre of Sheffield the river don actually BURST its banks and flooded the wicker area extensively
i don't mean overflowed ,as the video shows when this happened it did BURST,i cant see where in that area any bank or wall collapsed (riverside east)
any help appreciated

looking at the video of the torrent of water rushing down the wicker knocking over street furniture, temp traffic lights etc suggests to me of a burst bank which has been stated in the flood report not just over topping but as in my question i cannot see where in the area the don would be higher than and surrounding roads

your link is excellent,seems the drainage was to blame but even so the reports on the news did say burst and the drains being overcome would not cause the ragging torrent that was shown in the wicker also one guy attercliffe said it looked like a mini tsunami coming towards him,

but ill state again the video shows a vast amount of water that could only have come from a "burst " bank not on "overflowed" actually toppling over temporary traffic light in concrete bases and as one guy said looked like a mini tsunami if this was an overflow or overtopped it would have not created this torrent ,see this
