Hi, en-route to Sydney we stopped at Singapore, River View hotel no so far from Raffles & Orchard rd, 2ND time we stopped at Kuala Lumpur, Quick visit to portrays Twin towers but we were again the following day to Sydney, With the Journey you need that half way stop it's one hell of a trip.
you could probably stop off at Dubai, Bangkok, Singapore, HK or Tokyo. BA, Qantas, Emirates, Virgin, JAL, all go there, I think. There are probably others too. Most airlines are pretty good at long-haul - better seats and so on.
If you don't want to suffer from jetlag fly westwards and do a round the world trip. I did Los Angeles, Fiji 4 days, Australia, Bali 4 days, Singapore, back to London. Not one iota of jetlag and Fiji and Bali are wonderful places.
