to have your parents still with you? I took my mum to a medical research thing today, something she decided to sign up to unknown to me. I had my concerns as I'd taken her to a bone density screening a while back, subsidised by the Uni that didn't include trying anything dubious trial wise. Anyway, no probs, I'll be with her on her next visit. What I meant to say is, how suddenly you realise they've become more fragile. She took my arm, choked me a bit. Are your parents still alive & do you have a good relationship with them?

thats the trouble with the justice system in the uk blackie life should bloody well mean life
blackietwo.......that "hate" is a normal reaction and we ALL have that predisposition to hate.

salla.....if anything happened to your two children, God forbid, you would have the choice.....get on with life or kill yourself.........and I know which one you would take.
Nobody likes the death of someone they know, but it is inevitable and it is how you deal with it that sorts the "wheat from the chaff"
sorry for your loss also ummmm
Thanx for your thoughts, I would add a link but I do not know how to, , plus it would not be very private.
When my Uncle died I didn't function for about 2 weeks before the shock started wearing off. With Dad I was going round with a broken heart everyday for 8 months.....then a different kind of grief when he did die.

BTW....my Dad was told he had 6 months to live 2 days after my Uncle died. He was also heartbroken about that and I think losing his beloved brother killed him quicker.
bless ya ummmm xxx
They never get a proper life sentence. The murderer was only 16 himself, the judge can only give 11 year life sentence because of his age. But he gave it with HMP attached to it ( her majestys pleasure) he got to do 11 before he can apply for parole, it will be turned down as standard. Then he can't apply for another 3 years, another year before it comes up. In reality he will do about 22years.

sorry for all your losses x
Thanks 4get xx
It cant be nice umm to watch your loved go through the waiting for it to happen. so sorry
My dad died when I was 8...of the same condition I was diagnosed with 3 years ago.
My mum is still alive and will probably outlive me.......I have nothing to do with the woman and I hope I never have to see her again (due to very similar story/circumstances to CAJ1).
wow, this is sad!

my dad died when I was 5, my mum is..... well, selfish would be an understatement. I rarely see her, and it's a real effort when I do.

I would love to have a good relationship with her, but it's not going to happen now.
Hi Sachs, it's sad reading all of these posts. I wish that I was lucky enough to have my mum with me but feel lucky that she was MY mum as she was an absolute darling. I miss her every day. I have actually turned into her tho which is a bit worrying :P.
