Shar pei fever

can anyone tell me about this pls ?Taz my 10yr old shar pei became listless, refused to get up from his bed, then started limping ate very little, rang the vet but our vet was on his hols and the other vet is scared of him and this gives off bad vibes, decided to wait until tomorrow when our vet is back, and now Taz is fine walking okay, eating well, barking at the neighbours his old grumpy self, I shall still take to vets for resssurance, but a pal says he had shar pei fever, anyone else know ?

many tks, though he is back to his old self we are going to the vet for check up in the morning.Only trouble is I have been feeding him on chicken and rice to help digestion etc, how do I get him back on James Wellbeloved buscuits and tins of jellied Butchers ?
