Delete a page in a microsft word template?

I have downloaded a newsletter template from microsoft but it has 8 pages. i only want one. i have followed the instructions for deleting page breaks etc but it doesn't work. i want to email it to people but it looks stupid with 7 empty pages, is there an easy way to do this. I'm not fantastic with computers by the way, so easy answers please.

Can you save it as a Word document, then highlight everything except page 1 and delete it (or right click and CUT).

Watch the slide on right of page while you press delete....keep deleteing till only current page is showing.

OR

at end of your work. Highlight all subsequent info & delete.

Thank you, have treid both of those but they don't work. It appears to be because it's a template but it looks really strange as an email.
Any other ideas, please

After deleting did you give it a new file name?

Show the link of what you down-loaded?

I hate templates in word!!

Open the template, click tools > templates and add ons

Delete the entire location for the template in the top text box.

Click OK

Then save the document as a new name.

you should now be able to delete the pages you don't want.

That's what I meant, Chuck, when I suggested saving into a Word document format, but you explained the procedure much better than I did.

Unfortunately not, it has left me with a blank page with a heading bar and that won't go
It's now really bugging me.

Sounds as if you have deleted too much. After saving it as a Word doc have you tried deleting just one page at a time starting with the last page?
